Early Years Professional

Eleri Watson is our Early Years Professional.

Early Years Professional Status (EYPS) is a graduate level early years qualification.  The government has set a target of requiring all childcare settings to be graduate led by 2015.

We are delighted that by having Eleri leading practice in the nursery we have achieved that target already.

An EYP will:

  • take responsibility for leading and managing play, care and learning.
  • develop, introduce, lead and supervise development work.
  • act as a team leader and inspire others.
  • possess up-to-date knowledge and understanding of early years practices.
  • help colleagues to develop and improve their practice.
