- Multi-Skills Sports Sessions - the nursery's resident coach, Steve, takes small groups of children for sessions to develop their gross motor skills through physical games and activities
- Early Years Teacher - the nursery's pre-school room is led by a fully qualified teacher, Rebecca. This is very rare in day nurseries, but we are passionate about early years education and know that the quality of a child's pre-school education has a lasting impact on their school years.
- EYP - the nursery has an Early Years Professional - Eleri Watson. Early Years Professional Status (EYPS) is a graduate level early years qualification. The government has set a target of requiring all childcare settings to be graduate led by 2015. We are delighted that by having Eleri leading practice in the nursery we have achieved that target already.
- French - the Chicks have weekly fun French lessons during term time, which are provided at no extra charge.
- Read Write Inc. - the Chicks follow a proven synthetic phonics programme preparing them for initial reading and writing. The children will enter Reception with a knowledge of the first 32 'speed sounds'.
