The international programme 'Eco Schools' has recently been adapted to include Early Years settings.  It is an award programme that guides schools & nurseries on their sustainable journey.

The levels of awards are as follows:

Bronze

Silver

Green Flag

Involving all the children in the nursery, we will be working towards gaining all three awards by developing an:

  • Eco Code
  • Environmental Review
  • Action Team
  • Action Plan

The Eco Schools Programme is based around the following nine topics:

  • Healthy Living
  • Litter
  • School Grounds
  • Transport
